Geosciences Courses
Department of Geosciences

Fall Semester, 1999

The Department of Geosciences at the University of Houston offers a variety of courses in the broad areas of Geology and Geophysics and has programs leading to the BS, MS, and PhD degrees in these two areas. We also encourage students with the appropriate background to take courses without working toward a formal degree.

For general information about the Department of Geosciences, its programs, admission criteria, or any other topic, please contact Dr. Stuart Hall Chairman of Geosciences.

A hypertext listing of the courses being offered in the Spring Semester of 1999 is given in the following table. Selection of a highlighted course name will lead you to its expanded description. Be advised that these descriptions are not identical to those in the UH Catalog and are designed to more fully convey the course contents. Use the back arrow key to return to this listing. A link is provided to the instructor's home page from which you can send email if you have questions about the course.

The Undergraduate Catalog Online contains information about UH colleges, programs, courses, degree plans and other useful information for undergraduates at the University of Houston.
