About me:

I am an ecologist interested in questions at the interface of community and ecosystem ecology.  I grew up in Northern Kentucky, and earned my B.S. in Biology at the University of Kentucky in 2003, under the direction of Dr. James Krupa.  I received my PhD in Biology from the University of Notre Dame (2011) with Dr. Gary Belovsky.  I subsequently had the unique experience of teaching and mentoring graduate students as interdisciplinary postdoc at Florida State University (Departments of Biology, History, and Philosophy), where  I also conducted research the lab of Dr. Tom Miller.  I am currently a postdoc at the University of Houston, where I am working with Dr. Steve Pennings. Outside of science, I enjoy running, yoga, taking my dog for walks, and dancing.  Please feel free to contact me with questions on anything you see here.  Enjoy!!
