Welcome to Chuck Layne's Home Page
I'm glad you stopped by and sincerely hope you enjoy
yourself while you're here. I'm currently an associate
professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at
the University of Houston. I teach a variety of motor control
and learning classes with an emphasis on movement coordination.
We are working to develop the Motor Control and Coordination
Laboratory and build a thriving graduate program.
I am continuing to work on the data sets that I collected during
my time at NASA. The primary focus has remained trying
to understand the impact of space flight on posture and locomotion
control.
My department has degree programs in exercise science,
pedagogy, health, and sport administration and fitness.
If you have interests in these programs, please select the UH link below.
Personally, I am constantly involved in driving my
kids Macy
and Max
to a variety of practices. Both kids are heavily involved
in youth sports. Many of you know the time committment
that requires. However, both my wife, Connie
and I enjoy the kids at play. If I could just make
more shots during the UH Faculty-Staff Noontime Basketball Association
(NBA)
games, I would have the perfect life. I hope all of you
are doing well and will contact me soon at 713.743.9868 or clayne2@uh.edu.
I'd love to hear from you.
