Bill Chernish originally hailed from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area where some vestiges of both sides of the family still reside. His paternal heritage is from "one day's journey from Minsk," while the maternal roots are Irish-Scots-English, with some German added for good measure.
While Bill spends the school year in Houston, the family resides at Toad Hill Farm. The family is wife, Anne (originally from the California Peninsula), daughter Sydney Margaret and Grandma Lillian Kay.
We must not forget the critters: Golden Retrievers: Sunshine and Marigold, and the top cat: Shirley Balloon.
