• Mass spectra show the relative  abundance (fraction) of each isotope.

• From mass spectra, calculate the  average of the masses of its isotopes  weighted according to their  abundances.

(20 x 0.905) + (21 x 0.003) + ( 22 x 0.092) = 20.2

The average atomic mass of Ne is 20.2 amu.
