National Public Health Week

UH Wellness will bring this observance to the University of Houston campus through interactive events that highlight the many ways public health touches our community. This year’s NPHW theme is “Centering and Celebrating Cultures in Health” to insure everyone, in all cultural communities, has a chance at a long and health life.

 

Monday, April 3rd – Public Health Career Panel, Bayou City Room, 11:30-1pm

  • Join UH Wellness and University Career Services for a panel discussion with current Public Health Career Professionals. Free lunch provided for the first 50 attendees

 

Tuesday, April 4th – Let’s Play Study Break, Lynn Eusan Park 11am-1pm

  • Take a break from class and studying with fun yard games. Bring a friend and let’s play!

 

Wednesday, April 5th – UWWW: Self Defense Rec MP4, 11-1pm

  • Come learn how you can protect yourself and be more situationally aware with UH Wellness and the Brazilian Ju Jitsu student organization.

 

Thursday, April 6th – Zzz’s Get Degrees, Bayou City Room, 11-1pm

  • Studies show that sleep can actually make you smarter. Join us for this interactive event and learn the ins and outs of getting better sleep.
