The consideration whereof the 2 Chief Justices having taken they did report in open court that the plaintiff by the statute was to have £900 more for his damages beside the £300 due debt, whereof the court allowed and so adjudged to pay, as by order. Hinde, in forma pauperis; Sir John Savage et al, defendants: the plaintiff prayed subpoena ad testificandum against witnesses to appear and to be examined in court at their own charges for that they were precepted to be examined by commissioners and refused, but the court would not suffer him to bring them up at their own charges, being in forma pauperis, but ordered that the sworn of Chester should examine them.
