This information is mostly based on “A Catalogue of Star Chamber Proceedings Relating to Wales” compiled by Ifan ab Owen Edwards (Cardiff U P 1929) but first imressions are that the Edwards list may have been less than comprehensive. What this present project needs is someone who knows early modern Welsh famllies. It is also becoming plain that by the reign of Elizabeth there was a sizeable Welsh diaspora.
