  • STAC 5/A41/23 - Michael Austyn of Buckefastelegh co Devon, yeman. Brought a Bill in Star Chamber against John Carpenter and Richard Evan for perjury. James Grute of Vyborough co Devon, took an affidavit that John Carpenter was above the age of four score years and Richard Evan was about three score and three years and an impotent man not able to travel to appear in this Court without danger of their lives. This was none of it true.
