For slandering of the sentence of the court. Attorney Rex, plaintiff, versus Swift, by ore tenus for dispersing of libellous papers tending to the slander of the court that he was unjustly sentenced as the said defendant stood on the pillory to receive his punishment and this was by him done by practice betwixt him and one Colborne, prisoner in the Fleet, for which offence he was recommitted to the Fleet there to remain during Her Majesty’s pleasure and for 7 years space to lie in the hole there, 1000 marks fine and to have both his ears cut off, one on the pillory at Westminster and the other in Cheapside.
