  • TNA SP 12/105, 50. 1575 October 6. Benedict Spinola to Burghley. Congratulates him on the safe arrival of the Conte [Earl of Oxford] at Venice from Milan. His brother, Pasqual Spinola, will shortly be at Venice, to pay his respects to him there. His brother, Jacob Spinola, has paid the 1,000l. to Mr. James Harvy, at Antwerp.
  • TNA SP 12/105, 51. 1575 October 6. Walsyngham to Lord Burghley. Endeavour of the Queen Mother of France to entrap her son. Arrival of a Spanish fleet off the coast of Devon. The Admiral and Vice Admiral landed at Dartmouth, supposed to land some treasure.
