  • TNA SP 12/37, 1. 1565 August 7. Francis Chaloner to Mr. Ferres. The suit of his brother, Sir Tho. Chaloner, to the Bp. of London, for Sir Tho. Fitzherbert, was without success. His brother has been ill of a burning fever, and made a new will, under evil influence, excluding his relations, and leaving all his lands to the bastard only.

  • TNA SP 12/37, 23. 1565 August 29. Winchester to Cecil. Has had great calls for money, and with difficulty obtained 4,000l. of Sir Tho. Gresham.
