  • TNA SP 12/34, 1. Bishop Grindall to Cecil. Sends copy of a commission for a collection to be made in Essex for repair of St. Paul's. His opinion about Dr. Boner's oath. May 2 1564.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 2. Bishop Cox to same. Proposes a revision of the Bible, in order that one uniform translation may be used. Has been strangely used by Dr. Thirlby. Requests the Queen's letter therein. May 3 1564.
  • TNA SP 12/34, 3. Tho. Aldarsey to same. Is ready to undertake the voyage to Emden, and endeavour to the utmost of his power for the success of the same. Objects to Italians being allowed to export kersies. Observations on establishing a commercial intercourse with Emden. May 3 1564. London.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 4. Earl of Hertford to Lord Rob. Duddeley, by his brother Henry Seymour. Hopes through his mediation to be restored wholly to the Queen's favour. May 4 1564. Hanworth.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 5. The Council to Marq. Winchester. Licence to be given to the Merchants of the Stillyard to export the residue of 5,000 unwrought cloths to such places only as lie beyond Emden eastward. May 5 1564. Richmond.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 6. Earl of Hertford to Lord Rob. Duddeley. Thanks for being permitted again to write to him. Still hopes by his means to be restored to the Queen's favour. May 7 1564. Hanworth.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 7. Dr. Lewes to Cecil. State of the case of three Frenchmen committed to the Marshalsea, taken prisoners by Wm. Rogers, and who were detained in prison by Mr. Appleyarde. May 13 1564. The Arches.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 8. The Queen to Archbp. Parker. Directions to receive and entertain M. de Gonnor, at Canterbury, coming over as Ambassador from the French Court. May 14 1564.
  • TNA SP 12/34, 9. Same to the Earl of Abergavenny. Similar directions to meet the French Ambassador at Dover, and to escort him through Kent to Greenwich. May 14 1564.
  • TNA SP 12/34, 10. Same to the Lieutenant of Dover Castle. To join with the Sheriff of Kent in honourably receiving the French Ambassador. May 14 1564.
  • TNA SP 12/34, 11. Same to the Sheriff of Kent. To prepare for the honourable reception of the French Ambassador at Dover, and to escort him to Rochester. May 14 1564.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 12. Earl of Hertford to Duddeley. The Queen's continued displeasure overwhelms him. Begs he will intercede in his behalf. May 15 1564. Hanworth.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 13. Wm. Huggon to Cecill. Mr. Appleyard's name affixed to the bill sent by Cecill, is not his signature. Liberation of some Englishmen detained in France, is required, for certain Frenchmen detained in England. May 19 1564. Hampton Court.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 14. Lord Robert Duddeley and Cecil to the Earl of Hertford. Desiring him to send 114l. to Pirgo, to defray the charges of Lady Catherine Grey (his wife) while in the custody of Lord John Grey her uncle. May 20 1564. Court.

  • TNA SP 12/34, 15. Nicholas de Lemborch (called Ost) to Cecill. Concerning the expense which he has incurred in the matter of coinage. May 21 1564. Paris.
  • TNA SP 12/34, 16. Same to the Queen. Great profit will arise to her from the mode of coinage which he has communicated to her through her Ambassador. May 21 1564. Paris.
