  • Case Book BL Harley MS 2143 fo. 14r. Misdemeanor in 2 jurors for finding of an indictment against the plaintiff of perjury by a sleight and malice in them. Owen, plaintiff; Owen et al, defendants: convicted for a misdemeanor for that being of a jury for the finding of an indictment of perjury against the plaintiff they concealed the effects of the indictment from their fellows, and affirmed unto them that the indictment was for the plaintiff’s not coming to his parish church which being by that means found the plaintiff was endangered of his life and land for which offence two of the defendants convicted £40 fine and £20 and Fleet.   • Case Book BL Harley MS 2143 fo. 67v. Three plaintiffs and two of them outlawed, yet the third ordered to proceed. Owen and 2 of the Chossehilles, plaintiffs, and two of the plaintiffs were outlawed, and the defendant did demur for that cause and would make no further answer, whereupon the said Owen moved the court and prayed that he might proceed for that he was not outlawed, and beside the complaint was as well for the king as himself which the court ordered.
