Plaintiff accusing the defendant that he had robbed her of her goods not proving her bill was for that adjudged to stand on the pillory and to ask forgiveness. Simonds, widow, plaintiff; Parry, Chancellor of the Cathedral church of Sarum, et al, defendants; the plaintiff charged the defendants with a riot and supposed robbery of her goods by the defendant and his servants and at the hearing of the cause and in diverse other places reported that she had been robbed by the defendants but proved nothing against them. For this false accusation, plaintiff ordered to stand on the pillory with a paper and to ask the defendants’ forgiveness and if she refused to do it then to be committed to prison at Sarum until she do the same.
