Les reportes del cases in Camera Stellata, 1593 to 1609 from the original ms. of John Hawarde edited by William Paley Baildon Published 1894 Pages

In Camera SteIlata, coram Consillo ibidem. Veneris, 11 Novembris, 1597, Elizab. 39, termino Mich

The cause referred the last day in which James Parrye of Hereforde, esquire, was plaintiff against Roger Bodenham and other eight, defendants, for perjury and subornation and other misdemeanours, was now heard.

The bill was '9 foote longe,' measured by the Lord Treasurer, and contained five skins of parchment, with the hand [signature] of Lancaster, 'Counsellor of Graies Inne,’ to it. But the Attorney and Phillips, for the plaintiff, certified the Court that the bill was insufficient; but because the plaintiff said confidently that they confessed the perjury, it was referred to the Attorney and Phillips, and on their certificate to be sentenced accordingly, and not before.
