Paying parking citations at the University of Houston is now
just a mouse click away thanks to a new online system.
To pay parking citations online, faculty, staff, students and
campus visitors can visit http://www.uh.edu/plantops/pts.html
and click on “Citation Payment” on the left hand
menu. Payees can access their ticket information online with
their citation number or license plate number. This service
is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, said Bob Browand,
director of Parking and Transportation.
“Paying citations online adds a new level of convenience
to this process,” Browand said. “Having around the
clock access to this online system allows users to easily pay
tickets before fines increase. It’s also very user friendly.”
This new payment system is an upgrade to existing parking management
software utilized by UH’s Parking and Transportation.
The software, T2 System’s PowerPark, has been employed
at UH since 1999 to record parking citations and to distribute
parking permits.
Browand said that an online citations appeals system is in
the works, but would not be implemented until either spring
or summer 2006.
