UHE Symposium - The Future of Mobility Promises & Bottlenecks

Thursday, October 19, 2023

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Transportation is one of the leading emitters of greenhouse gases and efforts to decarbonize all sectors of the industry are underway. The most notable of these has been the conversion of passenger focused light duty vehicles from gasoline and diesel fueled to electric powered. Similar changes are underway in medium and heavy duty road and off-road vehicles, trains, airplanes and ships, although the pace of change is much slower. This symposium examines the key opportunities to advance sustainable transportation across the world that is affordable and accessible while also identifying the key bottlenecks in the transformation that could hold-up the gathering momentum. From infrastructure, to supply chain considerations, to financial constraints to regulatory oversight, many issues must be addressed with urgency.

This event wil have representation and booths from UH Energy strategic partners EVOLVE Houston and Shell that attendees can visit prior to the start of the symposium.
