First-Generation Early Career Access

Friday, November 12, 2021

10:00 am - 11:30 am

University Career Services (UCS) invites you to an informative and fun event where you will hear 3 minute TED Talks from industry leaders who were First-Generation College Students. They will share their experience and tell you why thinking about career development as a freshman or sophomore is crucial to your success. In addition, learn the value of combining the classroom knowledge that you are gaining with real-world experience in an internship (And, how to get paid for it!). You will also learn about the services UCS offers for Freshman and Sophomore students and why now is the time to let us help you begin your career development.

Attend to win $500 scholarships, UH Swag Bags, and more!

Freshman and Sophomore students who register to attend the event may choose to apply for the First Generation Early Career Access Scholarship; however, you are welcome to attend the event without completing the scholarship application. The scholarship application and qualifying criteria are included in the registration form.

The deadline to register to attend the event and apply for the scholarship will be Monday, November 8th, 2021.

You must be present at the event to win the scholarship.
