The Leaders of the Project
Venkatesh Balan, Ph.D.
Dr. Balan is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at the College of Technology at University of Houston, and he will be leading this project. His research experience includes protein expression system in microbes, understanding structure and function of protein, producing fuels, and other similar ideas.
Tracey Ledoux, Ph.D., RD, FAND
Dr. Ledoux is an Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance at the University of Houston. Her research focuses on understanding, preventing, and correcting overeating behaviors in the early family unit. Dr. Ledoux is the co-project director.
Neil Eldin, Ph.D.
Dr. Eldin is a Professor in construction management and former dean, College of Technology. He will closely work with PD and Co-PD’s and perform project evaluation
Albert Flavier Ph.D.
Dr. Flavier is an Associate Professor of Biotechnology at College of Technology at University of Houston. He has extensive industrial experience developing agriculture and therapeutic protein products. Dr. Flavier is the co-project director.
