General Events

Tailgate Party: Texas State vs U of H

On September 26th the Cougars will be facing Texas State Bobcats! It will be the second home game for the 2015 season and what better way to experience this with your fellow SSHRD members! It’s a new academic year and it’s time for new traditions to be created! Therefore, SSHRD will host our 1st annual Tailgate Party at the Football Stadium at on September 26 at 3:30-6:00p.m. We would like for all our members to come out and support the Coogs while also networking with fellow members! This will be a fun and easy way to earn your 20 social points also if you would like to bring items to the tailgate you can earn extra points(10point max) ! That’s not all you can also earn 10 points for wearing your SSHRD shirt! Don Not miss out on our new tradition and for 40 points! P.S This is for only members that have paid for their membership. SSHRD's 2nd Meeting

We will be having our 2nd meeting on Tuesday, September 29th at 4pm-5pm in the Student Center Skyline Room 223. We will be having a guest speaker at this event and our theme for this event is resume! We will have a resume workshop so bring your laptop and your resume to have be critic. RSVP

Color Run Shine

Hey SSHRD members! We found a fun way for you to take out your stress and earn your volunteering points! We are ask to help out at the Color Run Shine on October 17th at Minute Maid Park with the morning shift 5:30-11:00a.m. We understand that it is hard to wake up early in the morning therefore if you volunteer at this event you will earn double the points!! You can take your stress out by throwing paint to people as they run by! If you interested in this fun event please fill out this RSVP so we can know you are going or not. Fundraising Events

Margarita Festival

Come join us for one of Houston’s Best Festivals, the Houston Margarita Festival! This fundraiser event will be on Saturday, November 7th, from 3-7 PM at Sam Houston Park – Downtown 1000 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002 . This is the only shift available. Please note that this event will ONLY be available for members who are 21 years of age or older. This event will be worth 30 points and if you bring a friend, who also has to be 21+, it will be an additional 10 points for each friend that you bring to this event. RSVP
