Post-doctoral and graduate fellowships
We have one immediate opening for a postdoctoral researcher and/or PhD student to work at the intersection of biomedical optics devices and computational imaging for investigating hemodynamics of brain and non-brain tissues. The primary objective of this NSF-funded project is to investigate the effect of prolonged pressure on human tissues (skin, fat, muscle) using a patch-like diffuse optical imaging system prototyped in our lab. However, cross-contaminations with our ongoing functional brain imaging projects are very welcome.
Successful applicants with background in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or other relevant fields will assume a lead role in conducting experiments on optical phantoms and humans, reconstructing and analyzing optical images, and contributing to the development of future generations of the wearable imaging device. Prior experience with fNIRS and/or DOT imaging is highly desirable.
