The program is supported by funding from a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Center for Research Resources at the National Institutes of Health and a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Administered by the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program of UTPA, Regional Biotech offers Rio Grande Valley schools an opportunity to enhance their bioscience education programs by including practical experiences for their students through specially designed curricula.
