Undoing Racism Workshops - Fall 2020

Event Description:

The Graduate College of Social Work is excited to bring The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond Undoing Racism Workshops this Fall for GCSW students, staff and faculty. The workshop focuses on racism as the primary barrier preventing communities from building effective coalitions and overcoming institutionalized oppression and inequities. Through Undoing Racism/Community Organizing Workshops, The People’s Institute helps individuals, communities, organizations, and institutions move beyond addressing the symptoms of racism to undoing the causes of racism so as to create a more just and equitable society. We hope you will be able to participate in this transformative experience.

Event Details:

Registering for this workshop means you are registering for each day listed below. You must attend all four sessions of this four-day workshop in succession. Because of restrictions due to COVID19, workshops are now being delivered online. You will receive a link for the session and instructions for participating closer to the date of your workshop. 

Should you register and later find you are unable to attend, please send an email to: gcswinfo@uh.edu so that we may cancel your registration and make your seat available to another participant.
