Personal Statement

As a licensed clinical social worker, my professional philosophy is rooted in the core values of the social work profession:  service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence.  I want clients to feel comfortable and safe discussing all matters, which may be impacting their lives.  My private practice model allows me to deliver high-quality service to individuals seeking help with issues, ranging from mental health diagnoses, relationship issues, family issues, and sexual health.  As an adjunct professor, my philosophy is students should have access to inclusive, comprehensive, and accurate information in their course work.  I hope to be a source of knowledge and connection:  open, empathic, and flexible.
