Federal Agencies
Awards received from federal agencies including awards received from any sponsor that received an award from a federal agency that issues a portion of their award to UH via a sub-recipient agreement has certain terms and conditions to comply with. Sub-recipient agreements are subject to OMB Uniform Guidance (UG) 2 CFR 200, dated December 26, 2014, (UG).
In addition to the UG, all federal awards are subject to the following laws, status, principals and policies:
- Expanded authorities for Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP) members, as it relates to the Uniform Guidance
- Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) incorporated under the Uniform Guidance
- Sponsor specific guidelines which are outlined in the terms and conditions of the agreement
- Public laws, including Export Control restrictions and Fly America Act
- State laws incorporated into the University of Houston’s SAM and MAPP
- Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) applicable to federal contracts.
