The Division of Research is happy to announce the rename of CACDS (Core Facility for Advanced Computing and Data Science) to RCDC (Research Computing Data Core).

In addition to the rebrand, RCDC has a fresh and new business direction that better addresses the goals and needs of the UH research community. RCDC is part of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute (HPE DSI) and serves as the core facility supporting HPE DSI.

RCDC is home to the two clusters, Sabine and Opuntia, that are supported by UH IT Higher Performance Computing. RCDC will continue to provide free resources, including software and help desk support, to University of Houston faculty and staff across the system to support their research. Certificate programs, courses and tutorials, and research support will be rebranded under the HPE DSI.

Visitors can access RCDC information and resources through the HPE DSI website. Updates to the site are frequent as more resources, training opportunities and events are available to the community.
