Data Management Best Practices for UH Researchers

Management of research data is a critical component of effective, sustainable research and a necessity in the current research environment.
In this session, Reid Boehm, research data management librarian at UH Libraries, and Claudia Neuhauser, associate VP for research and technology transfer and director of the HPE Data Science Institute, present essential elements of data management for UH researchers across disciplines along with available resources and guidance.
Topics will include: Data management plans, file organization and documentation, storage and back-up, compliance with funder and university policies, data archiving, and sharing, while additionally taking into account reproducibility.
This 50-in-5 session is part of the Division of Research’s University Research Explained Series, developed to support faculty in a variety of research and innovation efforts.
