Are you a U.S. faculty member or university administrator interested in hosting a cohort of junior scholars from Egypt, Lebanon, or Iraq? Take advantage of this unique opportunity to establish relationships with faculty members at universities abroad and to build upon current efforts to internationalize your campus and community.
The Institute of International Education (IIE) invites U.S. campuses to apply to host cohorts of scholars from the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Iraq sponsored by the U.S Embassy in Baghdad, and the Fulbright Junior Faculty Development Programs (JFDP) for Lebanon and Egypt, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. These 10-week summer programs, scheduled for June through September 2018, are designed to bring junior faculty to the U.S. for faculty development, mentoring, and cultural exchange activities.
U.S. host institutions are to submit a proposal to host a cohort of scholars for each program. Each cohort will include approximately five to seven scholars. Register to attend an informational webinar on Tuesday, October 10 at 2:00 - 3:00 pm. The deadline to submit a proposal is December 7, 2017.
