Cullen Graduate Fellowship Travel Grant March 1, 2016

Dear Graduate Students,

It is my pleasure to announce the launch of the Cullen Graduate Fellowship Travel Grant. This grant is a competitive fellowship program allowing graduate students to showcase their research and scholarly work at meetings, conferences, performances, and exhibits. The grant program aims to enhance professional development opportunities as well as promote the University of Houston as a Carnegie-designated Tier One Research University.

To qualify for the grant, you must be a current recipient of a Graduate Tuition Fellowship; have submitted and been accepted via competitive selection criteria to present your work at a meeting, conference, performance, or exhibit; and have a commitment from your college, department, or program to cover at least 25% of the conference and travel costs. This grant will support up to 75% of the conference and travel costs, or up to $750.00, whichever is less.

To apply, please visit the Graduate School website under the Current Students section and submit your application. Applications are reviewed quarterly, with a two-week review period following the deadline. The next deadline to apply is March 28, 2016.

I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to share your work nationwide, and continue to represent the University of Houston as a Tier One student.  For additional questions regarding the program, please contact the Graduate School at gradschool@uh.edu.

Warm regards,

Paula Myrick Short
