Nominate Now! Cub Camp Namesake Nominations Now Open January 19, 2016

What is Cub Camp?

Cub Camp is three day extended orientation program where first-year students go just before classes begin to come together as a class, have fun, make friends, and learn more about creating a successful life at UH and in Houston.

What is a Namesake?

A Namesake is a nominated University of Houston faculty, staff, or alumnus who has contributed positively to first-year students or the UH community as a whole. Namesakes will be honored by having one of the four camps of Cub Camp named after them. They will also have the opportunity to interact with and impact 2 co- chairs, 10 counselors, and new incoming freshmen of the University of Houston. Please keep in mind that undergraduates and current graduate students are not eligible to be nominated but can nominate.

How do I nominate a Namesake?

Anyone part of the UH system, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni can nominate! The nomination application, a short survey, will open on January 19, the first day of school!
