Dear UH Faculty,
The upcoming May Commencement ceremony will be an historic moment for our University. From the pageantry of 4,000-plus students seated on the floor of the stadium, to the inspirational words of Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey, to the grand finale fireworks, it will be a truly memorable evening.
Your dedicated work has led our students to this important milestone in their lives and I encourage you to participate in Commencement and sit with your colleagues in the reserved faculty seating area near the graduates. If you have a spouse or friends you would like to invite to share in the celebration, you will be able to reserve tickets online beginning April 21. I also hope you will attend your individual college convocation ceremonies to hear your students' names called and see them receive their diplomas.
Already more than 10,000 tickets have been requested by our graduating students for Commencement. This event will launch a new era for our University. I look forward to sharing it with you.
