Dear UH Faculty,
The next Faculty-Led Learning Abroad Program Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Honors Commons (second floor of M.D. Anderson Library).
Based on feedback from participants in the February 12th workshop, this session will consist of short, ten-minute presentations illustrating different program formats by their respective faculty leaders (i.e. turnkey providers versus “boutique” or cafeteria approach; varying program lengths and learning outcome delivery methods, etc.). After the presentations, there will be a forum to ask questions and share ideas.
If you are unable to attend the workshop, the Faculty Resources section of the Learning Abroad website is available with tools and information for planning a program.
To RSVP for the workshop, please send an email to email@example.com with the following information:
- College and Department
- Area of Expertise
- Phone Number
- E-mail Address
- Questions or comments about faculty-led learning abroad programs
Any questions about the April 8th workshop should be directed to Lydia Westbrook, director, Learning Abroad at firstname.lastname@example.org or 713.743.2578.
A Global Faculty Development Fund (GFDF) has been established to assist faculty in developing a learning abroad program. The GFDF guidelines and proposal form are posted online for your review.
