PHOP, PPS Graduate Students Gain Invaluable Research, Career-building Experience with Internships

Four UH College of Pharmacy graduate students are gaining invaluable experience this summer through internships within the pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmaceutics Ph.D. student Prajakta Gadgil is working in the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Supply Department of Merck & Co. in Kenilworth, N.J.

In addition, Pharmaceutics Ph.D. student Daping (Debbie) Zhang will be completing her eight-month co-op internship over the summer. Zhang has been working in the Late State Development group at Genentech in San Francisco, Calif.   

Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy doctoral student Archita Bhansali, M.S. ('13), is doing an internship with GlaxoSmithKline in Philadelphia, Pa.; and Shivani Mhatre, M.S. ('11), is working in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research group at Novartis in East Hanover, N.J.
