International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. The purpose of IEW is to promote the benefits of international education and cultural exchange. IEW is celebrated across the United States on an annual basis during the third week of November (the week before Thanksgiving). IEW will occur November 16-20, 2020, and all events will be held online this year. At the University of Houston, IEW is an opportunity to showcase the various global programs and international opportunities as well as celebrate our cultural diversity.

• Public Art Exhibition ‘Color Field’, 2-2:30pm; Passcode: Color
  You are cordially invited to join the Public Art of the University of Houston (Public Art UHS) and International Student and Scholar Services for a virtual tour of Color Field, the first curated exhibition of outdoor sculpture ever presented at UH and Public Art UHS's second project in its Temporary Public Art Program. Tuesday, November 17th

• Be Your Advocate: Communicating the Value of an International Education, 6-7:30pm
  This workshop is for international students who want to better understand how to advocate for themselves when job searching and speaking with potential employers. Topics will include ways to market personal skills, communicating visa status to others and basics rights as an international worker.   Learn how to apply or renew your U.S. passport with the Passport for Coogs acceptance facility at this virtual info session. (Sponsored by Learning Abroad)
• Bauer Office of Global Initiatives and Global Opportunities, 1-2pm
  Learn more about the new Office of Global Initiatives in Bauer and various global opportunities for Bauer College students. Some of these such as learning abroad and global courses are also available to UH students from other schools. (Sponsored by Bauer Office of Global Initiatives)
• Cultural Explosion, 6-8pm
