Abstract:

Are you an undergraduate thinking about getting a Ph.D. in Mathematics? Do you want to know more about what earning a Ph.D. entails or what steps you should be taking now to prepare yourself? In this meeting of the undergraduate colloquium, I’m going to answer questions, talk with you about topics of your choice, and tell you about resources that are available to assist you in pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics. I’d like the meeting to be interactive and give you an opportunity to talk and ask questions, so please come with ideas for topics or issues that you’d like to discuss.

Snacks will be served after the lecture. Hope that you will join us for an informal, cool presentation in a friendly atmosphere!
