Mammalian Cell Imaging Facility

The FACS Aria II is a special order system including 5 lasers (488nm, 640nm, 561nm, 405nm and 355nm), making it possible to use 15 parameters and Two- and Four-way sorting into microtubes, 12x75mm, and 15mL tubes. An Automated Cell deposition unit (ACDU) allows for multiwall plate and slide sorting.

Clinical Samples and Tissue Analysis Facility

Expression and colocalization of estrogen receptors (ERs) alpha and beta in L6 myotubes by immunofluorescence. ER alpha was stained with Cy3 (red), ER beta with FITC (green) and nucleus with DAPI (blue). Expression of CD14 in an infiltration area surrounding the kidney of a mouse. Stainning with Cy3 (red) confirms the presence of macrophages or monocytes. Nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue).

Our Immunohistochemical staining lab includes several specialized microscopes; Olympus BX51 46hT flourescense, Olympus CX31 staining microscope, Olympus BX41 dual head microscope, Olympus IX with flourescense where we can visualize the expression pattern of any protein of interest.

Nucleic Acid Analysis Facility

A facility for analysis of nucleic acids e.g. miRNA, gene expression as well as quality control. (NanoDrop, Qubit, Applied Biosystems 7900HT Fast Real-time PCR System , 3x Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Real-time PCR System, microarray lab)
