‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’
The School of Theatre presents the Brothers Grimm story of the
poor shoemaker with only enough leather for one more pair of shoes
and how he gets a little help from some special friends. 10:30

Blaffer Gallery – Urs Fisher’s
‘Mary Poppins’ and Tam Van Tran’s ‘Psychonaut’
Blaffer Gallery’s latest exhibitions feature Urs Fischer’s
“Mary Poppins” and Tam Van Tran’s “Psychonaut.”
Fischer’s drawings, collages, sculptures and installations
evoke an existence ruled by extremes: the banality and complexity
that is life. Van Tran’s art consists of punched, crunched,
stapled and woven paper brushed with chlorophyll and spirulina.
It is described as a meditation on the natural world with a psychological
twist. The exhibits run through Aug. 5. Blaffer Gallery, 120 Fine

Asia

Blaffer Gallery Art Workshop
The UH Summer Arts Workshop, geared toward children 6-12, will
be held two consecutive Wednesdays through July 26. The art-making
workshops encourage children to think creatively and learn about
