Reading Series: Inprint Brown Reading Series
The Inprint Brown Reading Series, co-sponsored by Inprint and the University of Houston, continues its 25th season with UH Creative Writing Program faculty. 7:30 p.m., April 24. Alley Theatre, 615 Texas Ave. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. $5 general admission; free for students and seniors. Concert: Collegium Musicum With Ars Lyrica Houston
Under the direction of Matthew Dirst, Collegium Musicum with Ars Lyrica Houston present “Lettere D’Amore,” Italian Baroque love letters from Monteverdi and his contemporaries. 7:30 p.m., April 24. ‘Race and Rap in America: An Evening with Chuck D’

2006 School of Art Masters Thesis Exhibition
This exhibition represents painting, photography, graphics and sculpture showcasing each student’s artistic development through the MFA program. The exhibit runs through April 29. International Dinner Series: Cajun
The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Barron’s Restaurant present the Spring 2006 International Dinner Series. Following in the reading, there will be performance of David Prather’s “John and Juan,” a two-man play which explores the shared history of Texas and Mexico. 11 a.m., May 6.
