NEW DATES SET FOR UH EVENTS POSTPONED

The following University of Houston events have been rescheduled
as a result of Hurricane Rita:
urban landscapes/ephemeral markets – This exhibition in the
Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture’s Building Archives
will open at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29. For details, call 713-743-2400.
“Arms and the Man” – The UH School of Theatre’s
season opener set for Sept. 30 will now premiere at 8 p.m., Friday,
Oct. 7. The play will also be performed at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct.
8; 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9; 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14 and 8 p.m., Saturday,
Oct. 15. All performances will be held in UH’s Lyndall Finley

Moores School of Music’s Symphony Orchestra- A symphony concert
scheduled for Sept. 30 will now be performed Friday, Oct. 28, in

Dolores Huerta Lecture – This lecture that was set for Thursday,
Sept. 22, will be rescheduled on a date to be determined. For more

“Sonic Boomers” – This event is part of the Houston
Alumni Organization’s “Learning and Latte” speaker
series. It was originally scheduled for Sept. 22 and will now be
held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6 in UH Athletics/Alumni Center.

Inprint Brown Reading Series – The readings scheduled for
Sept. 26 at the Hobby Center will be rescheduled for a later date.
