Blaffer Gallery
Blaffer Gallery’s latest exhibition, POPulence, features
50 works by 19 internationally known contemporary artists. The

Operation School Supplies
The University of Houston Alumni Office is teaming up with the
HEB and the Houston Astros for this year’s annual Operation
School Supplies Collection. Over 17,000 Houston-area children
from 24 local school districts benefit each year from this drive.
Donate your school supplies to on your way into Minute Maid Park
before the Astros play. 5 p.m., Aug. 9. Minute Maid Park. Tram

Operation School Supplies
The University of Houston Alumni Office is teaming up with HEB
for this year’s annual Operation School Supplies Collection.
Over 17,000 Houston-area children from 24 local school districts
benefit each year from this drive. Donate your school supplies
to HEB on the Gulf Fwy. 6 a.m. – 1 p.m., Aug. 3. HEB, 3111

Theater: Houston Shakespeare Festival
Director Carolyn Boone brings Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet”
to Houston audiences for five performances. Cosponsored by the
University of Houston’s School of Theatre and the City of
Houston, The Houston Shakespeare Festival at Miller Outdoor Theatre
is in its 31st season. 8:30 p.m. Aug. 10, 12. Miller Outdoor Theatre,
Hermann Park. Free, but tickets are required. Four tickets per
person available the day of each performance at the Miller box
office between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and one hour before curtain.
