Game Night PM Pals

Friday, October 25, 2024

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

PM Pals is an organization funded by St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Houston, TX focused on providing “kids-day out” programs for parents. The program works with populations that have genetic disabilities or other medical needs.

Volunteers are needed to assist with their game night event by supervising games with the children and overall facilitating event needs with the volunteer coordinator. This is a great opportunity to learn more about working with youth who have special needs and if interested, being a part of the PM Pals peer mentorship program.

Volunteers must also register for a background check accessed by this application 24-48 hours prior to the event date: Safe Sanctuary Application. The application will ask questions regarding your faith or involvement with the church. You can put N/A; you do NOT to be religiously affiliated to volunteer. Once you submit the form, you do not need to fill it out again if you wish to continue volunteering with this organization.

Form will close 10/20/24 at 11:59 pm.

We will meet at 5:30 pm at the Student Center South front desk area to ensure that we can get everyone a ride to the event. Please indicate on this sign-up form if you can provide carpool - we always need volunteer drivers! All volunteer drivers will receive one extra volunteer hour for their generosity. We expect to be back on campus by 8:15pm.

You’ll receive a confirmation and reminder email prior to the event containing more information! Please confirm once again via the sent confirmation email to ensure your spot, as there are limited volunteering positions. Primary point of contact will be GroupMe and/or text-message group chat.
