Tour de Hood

Saturday, September 28, 2024

8:00 am - 10:00 am

Tour De Hood is a non-profit organization that is geared toward getting people the practical information they need to be both mentally and physically healthy. It started in 2003 with Dr. Veon McReynolds, riding with friends and family around the neighborhood. It has evolved to a tradition where people of all fitness levels, ages, and family sizes come together to ride around Houston to view the history and beauty that most people don’t notice.

Volunteers for this event will help beautify the Third Ward by helping relocate Dr. Veon’s historic bike shop to a new location!

If using the carpool, volunteers will meet in front of the Student Center South at 7:30 am and depart at 7:45 am and arrive at the event site at 8 am, and volunteer until 10 am. Please indicate on this sign-up form if you can provide carpool - we always need volunteer drivers! All volunteer drivers will receive one extra volunteer hour for their generosity. After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 10:30 am.
