Houston Food Bank

The Houston Food Bank is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food to hunger relief charities. Food usually comes from various sources in the food industry, like grocery stores and wholesalers, that have thousands of pounds of food to give away – food that could otherwise be thrown away. As volunteers we will be helping sort through food to be distributed into the community. Volunteers will meet in front of the Student Center 15 minutes prior to the start time of the event and will carpool to the site at 12:40 PM and arrive at 1:00 PM. After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 4:20 PM. If you have any questions please feel free to email Nick Schmutz.
