Target Hunger Food Fair

Thursday, September 19, 2024

7:30 am - 11:00 am

Volunteer at Target Hunger’s Food Fair and make a meaningful impact! Target Hunger is a Houston non-profit dedicated to alleviating hunger and its root causes in the community providing food education and resources. Help mitigate food waste and provide food assistance through produce distribution and connecting participants with community educators. We will help serve client intake, package produce, and support with loading food for those in need.

  • To sign up, complete this google form AND the Target Hunger Reserve Spot/ Waiver. You’ll receive a confirmation/reminder email prior to the event.
  • **Please indicate on this signup form if you can provide carpooling — drivers will get an extra volunteer hour!**

Volunteer Info:

  • Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
  • Bring your own water, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and any other item you think you may need when working outdoors.
  • Water is provided.
  • There is a porta potty onsite, and I would suggest bringing hand sanitizer.
  • Any tools needed will be provided.

Transportation Timeline:

  1. Carpool and volunteer drivers will meet at SC South entrance, near theater doors at 7:20 AM.
  2. Depart at 7:35 AM, arrive at the site at 7:45 AM
  3. After the event, carpoolers will depart around 11:00 AM
