8:30 am - 10:30 am

The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is a Houston-based organization providing safe, well-maintained parks to the community. With their commitment to an inclusive, equitable, and balanced park system they provide recreational programming for all abilities, ages, and socio-economic levels.

Volunteers for this event can expect to plant trees from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 27th. Working with other volunteers, we will focus on beautifying the park. Free breakfast tacos and beverages will be served. Supplies will be provided and 4 spots will be available. Rain-boots or clothing you don’t mind getting a tad dirty are encouraged.

Volunteers will meet at SC South at 7:50 AM depart at 8:00 AM and arrive at the event site at 8:20 AM, and volunteer until 10:30 AM. Please indicate on the signup form if you can provide carpooling- we always need volunteer drivers! After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 11:00 AM.
