Urban Harvest

Saturday, April 2, 2022

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Urban Harvest’s mission is to cultivate thriving communities through gardening and access to healthy, local food possible.Through this initiative, Urban Harvest built two community gardens in Sunnyside, which at the time was Houston’s largest food desert. These gardens not only offer a space for residents to grow nutritious foods, they also offer a space for neighbors to gather together and build social cohesion.

*Volunteers are recommended to wear clothes they do not mind getting dirty in and closed toed shoes.
*Volunteers must fill out this FORM prior to the start of the event.
All volunteers will meet and depart at the Student Center at 8:45 am.
