Make a Difference with Houston Wilderness!

Join us for a hands-on experience in Bioswale Installation— learn how to plant vegetation that filters out sediments, controls stormwater runoff, and reduces pollution in our city! You’ll be directly contributing to protecting Houston’s environment while gaining valuable skills in eco-friendly landscaping. We will also be volunteering with a fellow UH student org, the Sourcing & Procurement Organization (SPO) to meet new faces and help out together! :)

• 9:30 am - 12 pm

• 6001 Homestead Rd, Houston, TX 77028

• Register by Friday, 9/26 @9:00pm

**If you can provide carpooling — drivers will get an extra volunteer hour!**

To sign up, complete this google form and the Houston Wilderness Waiver.

Volunteer Info:

• Parking is available adjacent to work site is 6001 Homestead Rd, Houston, TX 77028. Carpooling is highly recommended due to our limited parking space.

• Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

• Bring your own water, bug spray, sun block, hats, and any item you think you may need when working outdoors.

• Any tools needed will be provided.

• Please note that the event will happen rain or shine.

Transportation Timeline:

1. Carpool and volunteer drivers will meet at SC South circle plaza entrance @8:50 AM.

2. Depart @9:00 AM, arrive at the event site @9:15 AM

3. After the event, carpoolers will depart around 12:15 PM.
