Target Hunger Community Garden

Volunteer at Target Hunger’s Community Garden! You’ll gain hands-on experience in gardening, while helping us grow fresh produce for families in need.Target Hunger is a Houston non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and its root causes in the community through food assistance, education and resources.

To sign up, complete this google form AND the Target Hunger Reserve Spot/ Waiver. You’ll receive a confirmation/reminder email prior to the event.

**Please indicate on the signup form if you can provide carpooling — drivers will get an extra volunteer hour!**

Volunteer Info:

  • Wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
  • Bring your own water, sunscreen, bug spray, and any item you think you may need when working outdoors.
  • There is a restroom onsite available for use.
  • Any tools needed will be provided.
  • Park in the gated parking lot behind the Target Hunger building.
  • Please note that the event will happen rain or shine.

Transportation Timeline:

  1. Carpool and volunteer drivers will meet at SC South entrance, near theater doors at 8:15 AM.
  2. Depart at 8:25 AM, arrive at the event site at 8:45 AM
  3. After the event, carpoolers will depart around 12:10 PM.
