Private and Group Class Instruction

Private Instruction

We currently offer lessons in piano, violin, and voice. Students are given weekly lessons which may be thirty (30), forty-five (45), or sixty (60) minutes in duration. Instructors design lesson plans appropriate to the student's skill level; curriculum includes development of performance skills, technique, theory and general musicianship. All lessons are taught in the Moores School of Music Building on the University of Houston main campus.  Attendance at all lessons is expected. To ensure success, students should practice daily for at least the length of their lesson.

Faculty

Private lessons are offered with professional or junior faculty members, and the PCS director and administration will help to match students with an ideal instructor. Professional Instructors have advanced degrees in their instrument and significant teaching experience. All Junior Faculty have received their undergraduate degrees and are graduate students at the university.
